It’s about education – a glimpse into GETheatre’s work

In 2006 Jennifer Holmes and John Socas traveled to Zanzibar in East Africa and held workshops with students around the island to empower young people to give voice to their dreams and ideas, as well as improve English literacy skills through theatre.  Six years later, GETheatre’s life and vision has continued to expand, and now we are a passionate team of ten teaching artists striving to make a difference.  GoGET team member, Tessa Bry, and her partner Nathaniel Taylor have created a wonderful glimpse into the journey of GETheatre, spotlighting our Zanzibar program.  Listen to GETheatre’s founders talk about that journey and how we continue to be inspired by our students’ work.
